About

Hi, I’m Ferna!

I am a 24-year-old who may or may not have an embarrassingly stubborn need to “find myself”. I graduated (sans live ceremony) with a Telecommunications – Production degree from the University of Florida in May 2020. Currently, I am based in Bicol, Philippines taking online courses as a next step towards my new professional goals and helping manage a local family business started decades ago by my grandparents.

I was born and raised in this beautiful tropical country and lived here until I was 17 before moving to Hong Kong to earn my IB diploma (and gain loads of weight, apparently).

You’ll probably catch me on a normal day playing Stardew Valley, bingeing a thriller TV series, salivating over a juicy chick-lit novel, or following graphic design tutorials.

If I’m being good, I’d also be making some sort of sound with my neglected violin and doing a Chloe Ting workout.

About the blog

I started this blog in 2017 to share the exciting results of a year’s worth of weight loss efforts in my freshman year of college. Since then, it’s become a journal filled with details of my travels, self-improvement ventures, relationships, and other personal musings about life.

My goal is to encourage you to discover and attain your own goals and do so with a lot of excitement and motivation! 💖

If you are looking to collaborate, tell your story, or even just seek advice about absolutely anything, feel free to email me at ferna@reinventingferna.com!

Just a little disclaimer: I am but a mere human being who evolves over time. It’s not impossible that at some point in the future, I could disagree with my own past self and find some thoughts and opinions expressed in previous posts to be cringe-worthy or no longer relevant.
